Kl day 1

Well after a long 8 hour flight we arrived in Kl.
This airport was a shambles! Huge queues to get through customs and basically setup in a tin shed.

As soon as we got through the rigmarole we were hit head first with 35 degree heat and no idea where to get our cab. Well after a bit of messing around we got our man and were on our way to the Malaysian capital.

For the next hour we drove through some very scenic areas, peppered with little sheds put together with corrugated iron which served as eating areas and restaurants that catered for Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist diets alike. The taxi although looking like chitty chitty bang bang had polar ice cap airconditioning and gave us a new found respect for the wonders of refrigeration. Eye balls dry but chilled we marvelled at the acres and acres of palm trees. Used for palm oil the sheer size of these trees was impressive.
